Amanda Graham, Ph.D.

Senior Vice President of Innovations | The EX Program at Truth Initiative

Dr. Graham leads the Innovations Center within Truth Initiative. The Innovations Center is dedicated to designing, building, and marketing novel digital products—like the EX Program—for tobacco cessation and prevention. She is internationally recognized as a thought leader in web and mobile quit-smoking interventions and online social networks, and has been awarded over $15 million in research funding. Her research has focused on developing, evaluating and optimizing Internet interventions and online social networks for smoking cessation interventions.

Dr. Graham earned a Master of Science and Ph.D. in Clinical Health Psychology from the University of Health Sciences/Chicago Medical School. She is also an Adjunct Professor of Oncology at Georgetown University Medical Center.

Michael Burke, EdD

Program Manager | Mayo Clinic Nicotine Dependence Center

Dr. Burke has more than 20 years of clinical experience in treating tobacco dependence. At the Mayo Clinic, he supervises a program that treats more than 2,500 patients and educates more than 400 health professionals per year. He is an accomplished educator, and has been an investigator and principle investigator on grants designed: to train tobacco treatment specialists, to educate health-care providers and community members to help people develop healthier lifestyles, and to develop distance educational models for health behavior change, and professional education.

He has a doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Rutgers University, and a master’s degree in Human Service from Lincoln University. Dr. Burke is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Mayo College of Medicine and the Coordinator for the Mayo Clinic Nicotine Dependence Center.
