Duties include managing Delta's enterprise-wide recognition platform, interfacing with multiple business partners to manage system performance and ongoing program and system enhancements. Carl is also responsible for interfacing with various business unit leaders, internal customers and key stakeholders to develop and implement programs that support, develop, and implement training, communications, and resources for leaders.

David Klein is currently the Director, Shipboard Human Resources for Carnival Cruise Line — “The World’s Most Popular Cruise Line®” — which carries millions of passengers every year on their fleet of 26 ships.  In his role, David leads the development and operationalization of the infrastructure, processes and programs used to develop, promote, and retain Carnival’s 40,000 shipboard employees.  Prior to joining Carnival in 2015, David held a variety of roles in the areas of Learning, OD & HR Business Partnership for QVC, Inc. David holds a Master of Arts from the West Chester University of Pennsylvania in Industrial-Organizational Psychology, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Business from the University of West Florida.  Away from work, David is a foodie and avid traveler who loves experiencing cultures and tastes around the world and in his current home in Miami Beach, Florida.

Joanna Matthews, CRP, is the Senior Manager of Employee Engagement at Southwest Airlines. Her team oversees the company-wide recognition platform at Southwest, oversees our SWAG Points system, as well as several day-to-day recognition and incentive programs. She has spent most of her career in the communications and employee engagement space in the nonprofit world in Spanish-speaking communities, and at companies like American Express, US Airways, Emirates, and Southwest Airlines.
