About Us

WorldatWork is the leading global organization for professionals who are engaged in the critically important practice of Total Rewards.

We operate directly with individuals and through partners throughout the world. Our corporate offices can be found in Scottsdale, AZ (USA) and Pune, India.

WorldatWork shares its Total Rewards thought leadership via various platforms:

  • Education and Certification

  • Idea Exchange

  • Thought Leadership

  • Knowledge Creation

  • Research

  • Advocacy

  • Networking

In 1955, the association was founded in Toledo, Ohio by wage and salary professionals because they wanted to share best pay practices and wage information. Throughout the 1950s, 1960s, 1970s and much of the 1980s, the organization’s core business focused on compensation. In the late 1980s and into the 1990s, concepts of total compensation (and, later, Total Rewards) were developed and popularized. The original Ohio Wage and Salary Association changed its name twice (Midwest Compensation Association and then the American Compensation Association (ACA). In 1999, reflecting the need to broaden services and audiences, we became WorldatWork.

Our Mission:

Create compelling and powerful Total Rewards solutions that elevate the employee experience.

Our Vision:

A world of productive, committed, and inspired workforces fueled by meaningful Total Rewards.

Testimonials

The tools and curriculum provided by WorldatWork has definitely increased and enhanced my compensation field of knowledge. Employers recognize the broad scope of learning represented by WorldatWork designations and my studies prepared me for a promotional opportunity within two months of earning the CCP.

Monica M. Kopin, CCP, SPHR
Human Resources Analyst III-Staffing and Compensation, City of Virginia Beach

My certification has helped to skyrocket my career as a compensation professional and as a university professor. It has given me perspective and insight that few professionals have in this market. I have been offered different positions since obtaining my GRP.

Ignacio Ros, GRP
Head of Compensation, Siemens in Argentina and Uruguay
