Facilitated: Facilitated classes have a scheduled start date and run between 4-8 weeks. The pacing is pre-defined and each week you will be assigned study material. You may spend as much time as needed on this material. Some facilitated classes include a live event where students and the facilitator meet in a live online environment for open discussion on class topics and group exercises.

Self-paced: Self-paced courses have no scheduled start date. You may access the course material 24 hours after purchase for 60 days and you define the pace at which you would like to review the material. In addition, a discussion board may be available 24/7 to discuss class topics and exercises with other students and the subject matter expert.

Duration of Course Activities: For facilitated courses, this is the amount of time you will have pre-determined scheduled course assignments. It begins on the first day of class and all scheduled independent and collaborative activities will take place during this time period. For self-paced courses, the duration of course activities is determined by the student. You define the pace at which you will review the course material within 60 days.

Blackboard Access: All Blended Learning classes can be accessed through the Blackboard online environment. All course activities and/or materials will be found here. In some cases, students will have access to the course materials after the facilitated course activities have ended.

Online Course Materials Access: This is when you will have access to the online course materials. These materials may include access to the course book, discussion board and all other online tools and templates provided to the class. Course materials are delivered in a predetermined pace for facilitated courses. Self-paced Blended Learning classes provide full access to all course materials 24 hours after purchase for 60 days.

Weekly Assignments: In the facilitated setting students will be given weekly assignments. Assignments may include reading materials and exercises.

Live Online Meeting: Facilitated classes may include live online meetings with the number of online meetings varying based on the course. Though attendance of these meetings is optional, this is an opportune time for students to ask questions and discuss class topic with peers and the course facilitator. This time may also be spent working on case studies, class exercises and/or a guided review of materials. These meetings are typically scheduled on Thursdays at 10:00 a.m. Pacific / 1:00 p.m. Eastern. Students will receive the live meeting date(s) on the first day of class. Playbacks of the live meeting will be posted within 48 hours of the live online meeting.

Discussion Boards: Blended Learning classes may contain discussion boards for use by the registered students. Each class discussion board will remain open for the duration of the online class materials.
