"2008 raises look good…for the boss"
WSJ.com, the online version of Wall Street Journal, cites data from the WorldatWork Salary Budget Survey. The article talks about merit increases and variable pay. Alison Avalos, WorldatWork practice leader, is quoted as saying variable-pay programs are "a way to deliver funds without making that long-term commitment" to a fixed salary, and it “requires the employee to perform." The same article ran in Career Journal and Smart Money and other media outlets that subscribe to Dow Jones News Service.
“Executive pay dissected”
The November 2007 edition of Directors Monthly, the official journal of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), features an in-depth by-lined article by WorldatWork executive compensation practice leader Don Lindner, CCP. The article explains how the WorldatWork Executive Rewards Questionary helps in identifying every essential factor for rewarding executives and directors.

The Nov. 8, 2007, edition of CNNMoney.com cited WorldatWork compensation practice leader Jim Stoeckmann in an article about how bonuses are linked to revenue and profits.

The Oct. 31, 2007 edition of PC World cites Kathie Lingle, director of Alliance for Work-Life Progress, an affiliate of WorldatWork. Kathie is quoted as saying, “Many people who want to make a change in their lives fail to first reflect on exactly what it is they want to do differently. Step 1 should always be to set your priorities, she says. "Get those straight in your mind, and [then] act on them," Lingle suggests.

The Nov. 19, 2007 edition of The Washington Post quotes practice leader Adam Sorensen talking about the relationship between workplace stress and turnover. Data from the Watson Wyatt and WorldatWork study on global strategic rewards is cited.

The December 2007 issue of Money magazine mentions WorldatWork in an article that talks about how employers will be dangling incentives and bonuses -- not raises -- next year.

The Nov. 1, 2007 issue of Human Resource Executive quotes Anne Ruddy, CCP, CPCU, as saying, "Modest 2007 salary budget increases of 3.9%, which are expected to plateau in 2008, present a challenge for managers.
