Adam Sorensen, GRP

Adam Sorensen, GRP is responsible for developing the practice of total rewards on an international scale and increasing the number of total rewards resources available to WorldatWork members and industry professionals with global responsibilities.

Prior to joining WorldatWork, Sorensen spent seven years at Intel Corporation, where he most recently was Global Work/Life Manager. In this role, Sorensen developed childcare programs at seven major U.S. sites and initiated work-life worldwide with a revised corporate flexibility strategy, a 10-country analysis of employee and market trends, and a global engagement model. Programs under his leadership included alternative schedules, telecommuting, job sharing, child and elder care, enhanced personal services and conveniences, work-life training and assistance for new parents returning to the workplace after childbirth or adoption. His contributions at Intel helped the company earn recognition as one of FORTUNE’s “100 Best Places to Work.”

Sorensen was recognized in 2006 as one of the “Top 10 Men in Work/Life,” by Work/Life Matters magazine. He also served on the strategy board for Alliance for Work-Life Progress. He is the author of “Beyond the Center: Intel Gives Employees More Choice through Family Child Care” (Journal of Organizational Excellence, 2005) and co-author of “Promoting Work/Life Balance in Your Organization: Best Practices” (ExecBlueprints, 2006). He has also contributed to articles in the East Valley Tribune (AZ), The Oregonian, Business Week, FORTUNE, and The New York Times.
