Leadership Conference Set for May 5 in Orlando
It’s time to register for 9th Annual WorldatWork Local Network Leadership Conference. This year’s conference, Rewards of Partnership, will be held in Orlando, Fla. at the beautiful Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotel, in conjunction with the WorldatWork Total Rewards Conference & Exhibition May 6-9.
By now you should have received your official invitation and registration form, hotel reservation form and expense report that will you will need. Here are a few key pieces of information:
Registration
- To register for the Rewards of Partnership Local Network Leadership Conference May 5, please complete and fax back the Registration Form to 763/208-9943.
- To register for the WorldatWork Total Rewards Conference May 6-9, please visit www.worldatwork.org/orlando2007 or call 877/951-9191.
Hotel Accommodations
- WorldatWork will make your hotel reservations for both the Leadership and WorldatWork Total Rewards conference. Please complete the attached hotel reservation form. If you have already made your hotel reservations on your own, please note that on the hotel reservation form and include your hotel confirmation number. The hotel is filling up quickly due to the Total Rewards Conference, so submit your hotel reservation form early.
Airfare
- Please make your airfare reservations on your own. Airfare will be reimbursed up to $250 USD after confirmation of attendance at the Leadership Conference. Please use the attached airfare expense report for reimbursement.
Important Miscellaneous Information
- WorldatWork will sponsor one Local Network Leader per group (please forward this invitation to the appropriate person on your Board). This includes two nights stay (May 4, 5) and airfare to Orlando up to $250 USD.
- Attendance by more than one group representative is encouraged; however additional attendees are responsible for their own travel and accommodation expenses.
- Attire is business casual—you may wish to bring a light sweater or jacket as meeting rooms can vary in temperature.
WorldatWork Welcomes New Local Network
Introducing the Silicon Valley Compensation Association (SVCA), the newest Local Network to join WorldatWork. SVCA was created in 1994, but joined WorldatWork in 2006 because of the benefits to membership. Currently, the network includes 350 compensation professionals from more than 80 public and private companies in Silicon Valley. The network’s meetings, communications and educational programs are all designed to enhance knowledge in all phases of employee compensation, including wages, salaries, incentives and benefits. Book a Speaker for Your Meeting
WorldatWork Local Networks wishing to schedule a WorldatWork staff member to speak at a local meeting in 2007 may do so by filling out a speaker request form that can be found on www.worldatwork.org/speakers. Priority will be given to events attended by at least 50 people. Please avoid the months of May and October, as WorldatWork will be hosting its annual Total Rewards conference in May and two international conferences (Brussels and Singapore) in October. A speaker honorarium is required (to fund research) plus reimbursement of travel costs. If you have any questions, please contact Meredith Fiebiger at 480/348-7222.
