Keyword Search Use the
search box on the upper left corner of the screen to search for other Community
members. Enter keyword(s) and then select Members under Narrow Results in the Search
Results screen. Under Refine Member Search, additional filters allow quick
refinements.
Connection Opportunities
Found on your
Community homepage, this is quick view of Community members who match part of
your profile. Click on a category and view Community members or further refine
the criteria. For example, there may be 250 members in your city. Click the
link to see those members and then click categories under Refine Member Search
to see those who also work in your industry or have a similar function. If the
members listed do not match your current job, location or responsibilities,
please update your profile.
Inbox/Invitations
Check your Community inbox for invitations from other Community members or create
a New Invitation to invite colleagues who are not currently WorldatWork
Community members. Here you also can review invitations and messages you have
sent.
Icon/Action Key
Invitation. Send a request to a Community
member or anyone you know to join your Online network.
E-mail. E-mail a Community member without
requesting they join your network.
Report abuse. Anonymously report a member listing
to the Community Moderator that your feel may be inaccurate or in violation
of the terms and conditions of the WorldatWork Online Community.
FAQs
Is my e-mail
address protected? Yes. Messages you sent through the Community will appear in the recipient’s
inbox from WorldatWork. By default, your e-mail address will not appear in
your Community profile unless you change that setting.
Who will be able to
search for me? If
you are a WorldatWork Premier
Member, your information (name, title, company, address, phone, industry,
certifications) is available to other Premier Members only, unless you change
your settings to provide access to Online Community Members also. Online
Community Member’s profiles are available to all Community members.
What if I don’t
want to be in someone’s network? Do not accept their invitation. You can also block a community member from inviting you again.
Where is the
Membership Directory? The Membership Directory is now incorporated into the
Community. Start your search in the Web site search box and then click
“Member” under Category to narrow your results.
The same member data that was available in the directory is now available in
the site search. WorldatWork Premier Members who have joined the Community
will have more detailed information available. WorldatWork Premier Members
can continue to search for other members without joining the Community. They
also can join the Community and continue to network with other WorldatWork
Premier Members and all Community members.
My Network Keep track of
your connections by organizing them into lists. For example, create a list of
attendees you met at the Total Rewards Conference and another list of members
in your area.
Icon/Action Key
New connection list. Create a new list.
Settings. Access your settings to set the
number of connections showing and the default connections list.
Full
page. Change the
view to full screen with the members of your network on the left and your
lists on the right.
Quick search. Click for a quick search of members
with a close match to parts of your profile.
E-mail. Send an e-mail.
Add to list. Add a member of your network to a
list.
Delete. Delete a member of your network.
Move
up or down. Move
network members up or down in a list.
Share
Information or Ask a Question
Discussions
Search, view,
initiate or participate in discussions on the main Discussion page. Here you
also can keep track of topics you are watching, your recent posts, and view the
top contributors and most highly rated posts. The default view for the main Discussion
tabs shows the most recent posts or replies first. Change the view to popular
or unanswered posts with the radio buttons at the top of the page and further
filter by date range with the drop-down menu.
Posts can be
rated, and the most highly rated posts can be viewed on the main discussion
page.
Icon/Action Key
Search. Use the search box to the left of
this icon and click the icon to limit your search to the discussion areas.
Post. Create a new post in the currently
active discussion area.
Reply. Click to reply to a post.
Watch. Click this icon on the main
discussion tabs to be notified of posts and replies in the currently active
discussion area. Click the icon in individual discussions to be notified of
replies to that discussion only. Set your preferences to receive immediate e-mail notifications or a nightly
digest of the day's activities.
Remove watch. Click this icon to remove topics or
discussion areas from your watch list.
Report abuse. Anonymously report a member listing
to the Community Moderator that your feel may be inaccurate or in violation
of the terms and conditions of the Community.
Invitation. Send a request to a Community
member to join your network.
E-mail. E-mail a Community member without
requesting they join your network.
Recent Posts
From your Community
homepage, quickly view recent posts to all discussion areas from members of
your network as well as recent posts to WorldatWork blogs.

Post. Create a new post in the currently
active discussion area.
Settings. Change your default settings for
the active discussion area tab and the number of recent posts displayed.

Why can't I post or
reply? Please
join the Community to post or reply in the discussion areas.
Why can't I see the
identity of the discussion participants? Some individuals may have posted
anonymously. If all identities are hidden, you may not be logged in; please
log in to view participant identities.
Can I participate in the discussions without networking in the community? Yes. Join the Community and set your Contact and Search settings so that no one can contact you or search for you.
What happened to
the Bulletin Boards? All the previous bulletin board posts are now available
in the Community Discussions. Posts are open to the public as read-only and
are now available in the site search.
Are there rules
about what types of postings are allowed? Yes. Please review the terms and conditions.
Top Contributors
This area on your
Community homepage shows the top five contributors to the Community for number
of posts, highly rated posts and Community
member recruitment. Use the Time
Period menu to change the date range.
Recognition Room
Your
personal recognition area details your WorldatWork Premier member, volunteer
and Community involvement from 2005 forward. Participate
in the Community or
volunteer with WorldatWork to earn more awards and trophies.

missing from my Recognition Room. Whom can I contact? Records are
currently available through 2005. If the service occurred during 2005 or

and Network Safely
Privacy Settings
A robust set of privacy settings and preferences let you control your
profile information. WorldatWork Premier Members can choose to network and
share profile details with all Community members or only Premier Members. All
Community members can choose which pieces of demographic, job, location and
contact information they wish to make available and who can search for them.
Inbox
Your e-mail address is never disclosed when sending messages through your
Community inbox.
Discussions
Simply click "anonymous" to remove your name and profile information when
creating a new post or a replying to an existing post.
Report Abuse
Report abuse icons are located throughout the Community. Click the icon to
anonymously report abuse or contact the moderator.
Privacy Settings Help
Restrict or allow access to your contact and other profile information.
General Public
Anyone, whether they are logged in to the community site or not, can view this information.
All Community Members
Logged in, registered community members can view this information.
Premier Community Members Only
Only Premier Community Members can view this information. Premier members have paid WorldatWork membership dues. Registered Online Community members without a paid membership cannot view this information.
My Connections
Only individuals you have invited into your personal network will be able to view this information.
No One
No one can view this information.
FAQs
Can I block another member from contacting me? Yes. To block
another Community member from contacting you, click delete after reading the
message or click the delete icon and you will have the option of blocking the
sender and/or flagging the message. Note: Once you block a user, they cannot be unblocked.
Why aren't my new privacy settings taking affect in the search results? It takes approximately 20 minutes for privacy settings to be updated in the search results.
Moderation
Ensures a Rich Experience
WorldatWork Moderators
monitor Community users and content to ensure proper usage and a rich
experience for all members.
WorldatWork staff members do not actively contribute content
to the discussion area. However, Community Moderators may facilitate
discussions.
FAQs
How can I report
abuse? If
you feel that someone is using the Community inappropriately, simply click on
the Report Abuse icon on a post or member profile and the Moderator will be
alerted. You may also contact the Community Moderator at moderator@community.worldatwork.org.
Why has my posting
been removed or my Community account inactivated? Please review the terms and conditions of the Community.
If you still have questions, contact the Community Moderator at moderator@community.worldatwork.org. Can I start a new account? If your
account has been inactivated you may not create a new account.
Why has my photo
been removed? Only your photo can be posted to your profile. Please use a professional
photo of yourself. Illustrations, other images or images that may be deemed
inappropriate will be removed.
