Human cases of the influenza A H1N1 virus (swine flu) have been confirmed in a many countries including Mexico and the United States. Once again, many organizations are taking steps to ensure they have the necessary plans in place to respond should there be an impact to their business and/or employees with any potential pandemic. On Aug. 10 2010, WHO Director-General Dr. Margaret Chan announced that the H1N1 influenza virus has moved into the post-pandemic period. However, localized outbreaks of various magnitudes are likely to continue.

H1N1 Flu Status
